[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide case management services to have law enforcement officers divert certain low-level drug and criminal offenders directly to a community-based intervention program, rather than booking them into jail and referring them for prosecution to the government authority located in Columbia, MD.
- Consensus on this effort is based on shared dissatisfaction with the results achieved through existing enforcement strategies, and a desire to provide a more effective, less harmful response to problems stemming from unmet behavioural health needs, homelessness, prostitution, and low-level drug activity
- Key components of the intervention model are: intensive outreach-based case management and peer recovery support, individual service plans, and referral to comprehensive services including, housing resources, mental health counselling, substance use treatment, education and job development
- Attainment of a bachelor’s degree, at a minimum, from an accredited education program in the health and human services, psychology, social work or related behavioural health science field
(2) A pre-proposal teleconference will be held on August 26, 2021.
(3) All question must be submitted no later than August 27, 2021.
